Empathy - Instant Messaging Client for GNOME
Never realized the power of empathy until yesterday. The customer site is blocking all sort of Internet Messaging. We need to exchange data as fast as we can using IM,
Me and my colleague were in the same LAN, and Empathy is connected and have special sub-menu ‘Near Me’ or something like that, it will appear the username of the pc/laptop , so we can exchange data and IM’ing like normal. The best part is no wastage of bandwidth.
If only all my colleagues using Ubuntu or any flavor llinux with empathy installed on their system.
