Kogan Agora Resurrected?

Folks at Gizmodo AU had a chance to get their hands on new Kogan Agora. Ruslan has his team to work hard on these new Kogan Agora. Unfortunately, the folks at Gizmodo only got the original Kogan Agora.

The new Kogan Agora will most likely being a full touchscreen device

The final release model will almost certainly ditch the qwerty keypad for a 3.8-inch, iPhone like touchscreen which will take advantage of the cupcake update’s onscreen keypad. The phone will also definitely run Android.

Sound like we are back at stage 0 again, remember last year christmas announce?

Kogan Agora is… gone

I was at the hospital yesterday when my phone push mail from my gmail on kogan agora alerts (btw, i am using Google Alerts to alerts anything about Kogan Agora). It was from News Australia, posted that , Kogan Agora will be delayed indefinitely.

Man, this is suck, I knew it from the first time when Kogan seeking some cheap publicity about going to produce a android phone without looking deeply into development aspect. First it cited about similar iphone concept with no keyboard, but the source code of android still no virtual keyboard supported (cupcakes update still being delayed). Then the iphonish design turn into blackjack/q/blackberry ‘ish, with keyboard but small screen.

Now, at the very last minute of worldwide shipping, and don’t forget about all the cheap talk to APC at CES 2009 Las Vegas about world domination, 3 months debut, it will be in America, then 6 months it will be arriving in Europe, suddenly it delay, again (remember before christmas 2008), mainly due to interoperability issue. SCREEN SIZE, DAMMNNITTT.

Now, if Kogan Agora will reborn again(?), hopefully please take a look at the development issue. Now I think I have to wait for Lenovo Ophone, or better yet Palm Pre

Kogan Agora heads to CES2009?

FInally, after some comment from users to get their hand on some review/first hand impression, Kogan will be heading to CES this coming January 8th - 11. Here are the excerpt from the official website

“Also, it looks like I’ll be heading to CES this year so if I can have a prototype of the Agora with me, I’ll make sure some of the keen bloggers and journalists out there can have a quick play with it, take some photos, and give you some first impressions ahead of more detailed reviews.”

Now only if I heading to CES to get my hands on Kogan Agora, looks like we will have to wait for Engadget or Gizmodo review on it. Then, I will decide to buy it or not.
