Sony PSP Official Firmware 3.90

PSP owners now can upgrade their gaming device to the new official firmware 3.90 . Some of the changes are

• Outgoing calls between Skype ID (Skype ID) (free)
• General and the outgoing phone calls (dialer, SkypeOut ) (paid)
• General mobile phones in the phone (Phone receiving, SkypeIn ) (paid)
• Voice mail exchanges (some paid)

but wait, not all psp model can rejoice this new feature, some of the requirement are: -

• PSP console (PSP-2000 series)
• Memory Stick Duo (capacity needs at least 1MB)
• Wireless Internet access environment
• PSP Skype to respond to the voice input and output devices
• Earphones attached remote control (PSP S140 G-G-270) headset (PSP).
• 1 headset connected to the remote system to connect to the PSP.

My Note:

I am using the PSP-1000 model that is the earliest model for psp. the ram is not enough to cater the new feature above, psp model PSP-2000 have a bigger memory to support rich feature above but alas, this is a great step for psp as a multi-purpose device.
